AS-PL installed a 550-metre automatic conveyor system in its Gdańsk warehouse to speed up picking and reduce errors.
To meet growing customer needs, AS-PL built a modern automatic transport system in its Gdańsk warehouse. Work began in mid-February and took about six weeks, producing a 550-metre line of roller conveyors with a control system.
Operators now pick items into containers, which travel on the automatic line to packing stations for checking and packing. This shortens picking and order processing, reduces errors and cuts physical workload.
Logistics Director Sebastian Wencel said orders will be fulfilled faster and that further warehouse improvements are already being planned.
