The third and final stage of the 19th Automobile Technology Olympics, a competition for students of Polish automotive schools, took place on 12 May at Bosch’s headquarters in Warsaw. Thirteen finalists competed, and AS-PL took part as a supporting sponsor.
Contestants faced two practical tasks: diagnosing a loss of power under load on a VW Golf VII 2.0 TDI Common Rail, and tracing a fault that disabled several systems on a Golf VI. Arkadiusz Kałęcki from Grodzisk Mazowiecki won, while an automotive school from Łódź received the award for the best combined score.
During the accompanying technical panel, AS-PL presented the company and its offer for start-stop systems. It also funded a speaker system for the winner and cut-away alternator and starter models for the winning school’s classrooms.
