MSG Equipment says regular maintenance is the foundation of keeping a car in good shape and offers a checklist by mileage and season.
- Every 1,000 km: check engine oil, coolant, brake and power steering fluid levels and the lights.
- Every 10,000 km: oil and filter change, fuel filter, air filter cleaning, belt tension, battery check and EGR valve cleaning.
- Before summer: body and underbody cleaning, summer tyres, alignment and balancing, shock absorber, brake and AC checks.
- Before winter: frost-proof washer fluid, water content check in coolant and brake fluid, and winter tyres once temperatures drop below +5°C.
The company adds that diagnostic benches and special tools make testing the various systems easier.
