How the MSG MS610 and MS611 testers and the MS502M, MS521 and MS604 benches are used to diagnose hydraulic power steering systems.
Unlike electric systems, hydraulic power steering needs periodic maintenance; neglected, it can fail quickly and compromise vehicle control. MSG Equipment has developed a range of diagnostic equipment so any workshop can service and repair these systems.
- MS610 and MS611: on-car initial diagnosis to tell whether the fault lies in the pump or the rack.
- MS502M: a bench that tests any type of steering rack, supplied with connection fittings.
- MS521: an add-on for the MS502M that reveals faults appearing only under load.
- MS604: a bench for single- and dual-circuit mechanically driven pumps at 0–1500 rpm.
The benches can also be used for final checks after repair.
