EURO 7 tightens emission limits and requires monitoring over a vehicle’s lifetime. MSG Equipment argues this will make proper DPF cleaning essential.
The EURO 7 standard being introduced in Europe further tightens emission rules for combustion-engine vehicles. As outlined by MSG Equipment, it is expected to bring uniform rules for petrol and diesel engines, lower NOx and particulate limits for passenger cars compared with EURO 6, real-world testing and measurement of brake and tyre emissions.
A key change is that compliance must be maintained throughout the vehicle’s life. Removing a clogged particulate filter will no longer be an option, as even small deviations in filter performance will be detected.
The company says this will turn quality DPF cleaning into a mandatory service and presents its MS900 stand, which cleans filters with warm water and compressed air pulses without chemicals, as a solution.
