Carmakers keep updating vehicle design and technology, so mechanics must keep developing too. Theory from vocational school is enough to start, but regular training is essential to service modern vehicles, including electric ones, to a high standard.
Using the infrastructure of a large service centre, the MSG Equipment Training Center teaches:
- Accurate diagnosis of units and systems and fault finding
- Disassembly, component checks with special equipment and correct parts selection
- Replacing faulty components and reassembly to technical requirements
Courses include hands-on sessions with current diagnostic equipment, and graduates receive personal certificates. The centre announced a new course on Tesla diagnostics and repair starting in March 2021.
