Manufacturers recommend checking the AC system at least once a year. MSG Equipment lists the MS111, MS101P and MS121 for compressor servicing.
The right cabin temperature and humidity are a matter of safety as well as comfort. Regular checks of the compressor, evaporator, hoses, seals and refrigerant level keep the AC running for a long time.
MSG Equipment notes that manufacturers recommend at least one inspection a year, ideally in spring. Its compressor servicing line includes:
- MS111: test bench for the compressor, the costliest AC component
- MS101P: flushing stand that removes debris and old oil from the lines
- MS121: tester for clutches and valves without removing the compressor
