MSG Equipment announced it was finalising the MS008, a single bench for testing alternators, starters and voltage regulators.
In March 2021, MSG Equipment announced it was finalising development of the new MS008 bench for alternator and starter diagnostics. It combines functions previously unavailable in a single device and requires no special operator training.
- Tests 12/24V alternators with any terminals under loads up to 150A (12V mode),
- Checks 12/24V voltage regulators separately from the alternator under load,
- Tests 12/24V starters at idle,
- Offers real-time oscillograms, manual and semi-automatic modes and alternator and regulator databases.
Free automatic software updates were planned to add new alternator types such as 48V start-stop and i-ELOOP systems.
