MSG Equipment introduced the compact MS015 COM, which quickly evaluates 12 V alternators on the car, and explained how it differs from the MS012 and MS013.
After studying the needs of service stations and customer requests, MSG Equipment developed the MS015 COM, a tester for diagnosing 12 V alternators directly on the vehicle. The company also explains why its catalogue lists three testers:
- MS012 COM: broad fault detection for car and truck alternators under different loads
- MS013 COM: a compact 12 V-only unit with the same functions as the MS012
- MS015 COM: the smallest, most affordable model for a quick working/not-working verdict
While the MS012 and MS013 help rebuilders find the cause of a failure, the MS015 COM is aimed at shops that replace units and simply need to decide whether a replacement is required.
