MSG Equipment developed the MS112 bench to test electric AC compressors with built-in inverters running on 140–400V DC.
In hybrid and electric vehicles, the AC system is responsible both for cabin comfort and for cooling the traction battery. Its reliability is therefore crucial, as an AC failure can create a risk of battery overheating.
The compressor in these vehicles has a special design and is driven by an electric motor. MSG Equipment developed the MS112 bench to test electric compressors with built-in inverters powered at 140–400V DC. It checks the compressor’s electrical part, runs a performance test and can also be used for pre-sale checks of new compressors.
