MSG Equipment compares its two passenger-car brake caliper test benches: the full MS300 workstation and the compact benchtop MS301.
Some caliper faults, such as sticking pistons, damaged seals, corroded bores, leaks or electromechanical parking brake (EPB) problems, cannot be spotted by visual inspection alone. Testing the caliper on a bench after repair therefore has a direct impact on work quality and on the risk of comebacks.
MS300 combines a diagnostic bench with a full mechanic’s workstation, so calipers of different types, including EPB units, can be dismantled, assembled and tested in one place. It features a perforated tool panel, a fluid-resistant stainless steel worktop and a reusable working fluid system.
MS301 is a compact benchtop unit focused on leak-tightness testing. It runs on 230 V with low power and air consumption, so a household-grade compressor is enough, making it a good fit for workshops without a dedicated caliper repair area.
- MS300: diagnostics and repair, EPB support, 400 V three-phase
- MS301: diagnostics only, no EPB support, 230 V single-phase plus compressed air
Both benches handle hydraulic passenger-car calipers and come with a set of connection fittings.
