MSG Equipment’s MS550 adapter replaces the original control unit, mainly on Japanese cars, to test the electrical part of EPS racks.
On some vehicles, especially Japanese brands, an electric steering rack cannot be tested without its own control unit. Since that unit is hard to remove from the car, quality diagnostics is only possible when the matching control unit is available.
MSG Equipment’s MS550 adapter replaces the original control unit, allowing the rack’s electrical part to be tested easily together with the MS561 controller. It can test:
- Brushed and brushless motors,
- All types of torque sensors,
- All types of motor rotation sensors.
Testing runs in automatic or manual mode. The device offers an economical solution for workshops repairing racks from Toyota, Honda, Lexus, Nissan, Suzuki, Mitsubishi, Subaru and Acura.
