MSG Equipment’s MS561 controller is designed for complete diagnostics of electric steering racks and columns and EHPS pumps using CAN or FlexRay protocols. It connects to a removed unit through cables made for specific vehicle groups, powers it, sends the codes needed to start it and simulates real driving conditions such as vehicle speed.
The operator turns the input shaft to check steering assistance, and graphs help trace the fault and its cause. External scanners connected via OBD II can read and clear faults, show live data, code units, update software and calibrate sensors.
