Why ash in a DPF must be removed mechanically, and the cost, versatility and productivity advantages of MSG’s MS900 cleaning system.
Soot collected in a diesel particulate filter can be burned off in a special regeneration mode, but the resulting ash is incombustible and gradually reduces filter permeability. This leads to more frequent regeneration and higher fuel consumption. Ash can only be removed mechanically.
Key advantages of MSG’s MS900 system for car and commercial vehicle filters:
- Low running costs: no special chemicals and a three-stage water treatment system
- Versatility thanks to an extensive set of fittings
- Short cleaning time with no chemical soaking step
- Modular design that washes and dries filters simultaneously
- Automated process and a simple control menu
