Why a professionally remanufactured steering rack beats a used or simply repaired one on cost, quality and environmental impact.
MSG Equipment notes that saving money on spare parts has become far safer thanks to remanufactured units. Remanufacturing goes well beyond a simple repair: the rack is fully disassembled and cleaned, every part is inspected, worn components are replaced and the unit is retested against the manufacturer’s specifications.
A standard repair fixes only one specific fault, and a used unit is a short-term saving. Specialist workshops verify EPS units during and after rebuilding with testers such as the MSG MS561. For models no longer in production, a remanufactured unit is often the most affordable option.
