DPF cleaning without chemicals or environmental harm

Diagnose first, then clean. MSG Equipment compares four DPF cleaning methods and explains the MS900’s closed-loop washing.

On short city trips regeneration cannot finish and the DPF clogs, while sensor or ECU faults can trigger regeneration too often, raising fuel use and turbo failure risk. MSG Equipment advises diagnosing and fixing the root cause first, and changing engine oil early if needed.

  • Chemical forced regeneration: the filter’s internal condition cannot be checked, chemicals are released and the engine runs at high revs for a long time.
  • Washing after chemical soaking: hazardous substances and waste water issues.
  • MS900 closed-loop washing: warm water, reversing flow and air pulses clean without chemicals; only oil-contaminated filters need chemical pre-treatment.
  • Replacement: the only option for a structurally damaged filter, but costly.
