How MSG Equipment Builds Its Test Bench Housings

MSG Equipment described how its bench and tester housings are made, from 3D design to laser cutting, CNC bending and powder coating.

MSG Equipment published an article on how the housings of its test benches and testers are produced. The process begins with a 3D model and drawings that define size, function and appearance; apart from design and assembly, most steps are automated.

Key production stages include:

  • CNC laser-cut frame parts joined by CO₂ or argon welding into a light but rigid structure,
  • CNC press-brake bending and dedicated mounting points for boards, cables and panels,
  • Powder coating against corrosion, with stainless steel where parts touch brake fluid,
  • UV-printed logos and clear information labels.

For example, the MS1000+ shock absorber bench housing is designed to withstand loads of up to 1,000 kg without deforming.
